Things I've picked up along the way...

Pretty medieval manuscript of the day is another page from an (early) sixteenth century breviary from the Netherlands. The woodcut shows Christ washing the feet of his disciples. The manuscript is from the collection of the Bibliotheek Kortrijk in the Netherlands. I love this little book, which combines the old technology (freehand painting, as in the border) with the new (woodcuts, an early type of printing).
