Pretty medieval manuscript of the day is a gorgeous breviary from the early sixteenth century. The book is known as the Mayer van den Bergh Breviary. In the margins we see scenes from the early life of Christ, whilst the main illustration is of the Virgin adoring the Christ child whilst the shepherds look on.
