Pretty medieval manuscript of the day is a leaf from the Hours of Anne of Brittany. The book was illustrated by Jean Bourdichon, one of the most talented illuminators in France during the late fifteenth and early sixteenth century. I love the detailed botanical illustration. Have you spotted the little furry caterpillar? And the butterfly? Lovely isn’t it?
