Things I've picked up along the way...

Pretty medieval manuscript of the day is an illustration of a wealthy family by Jean Bourdichon, the same illustrator who painted yesterday’s lovely manuscript. The miniature was painted in the early sixteenth century.
According to the caption on the Web Gallery of Art:

This miniature is from a series entitled Les Quatre États de la Société (The Four Social Conditions), and probably painted to illustrate a moralizing tract. It provides a glimpse of daily life in a noble household in the early years of the sixteenth century.
